I started Bujinkan in Ceará (CE – Brazil) around mid-2004. Despite some seminars happened years before (for martial artists of other arts), there were no Dojos located in Ceará until that moment. After that, we expanded and moved to Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE, State University of Ceará) about mid-2005 in Fortaleza city, when I had the pleasure to meet my buyu Hendrik Lindelauf. The Japanese department helped us a lot. Since that time, we have been responsible to several courses with my master Miguel Greg Sensei (for only Dojo members).
In 2011, I was responsible to the 1st Workshop of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu in Fortaleza Event (an open event in workshop format). My brilliant organization team was composed for only two students: Artur Sampaio and Robson Souza. It was enough. They prepared the best event until that moment, it was amazing! Sensei teaches us many specific points of 体術 (Taijutsu, basic unarmed techniques), 護身術 (Goshin Jutsu, self-defense techniques), and connected us to source. Two days of hard training.
This year we are repeating the success, I am responsible with my buyu Paulo Mesquista Sensei for the 2nd Workshop of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu in Fortaleza with Miguel Greg Martinez Sensei. Now, the same brilliant team was composed, but we have a new member: Emanuel “Steven” Maia.
Many techniques of Gyokko Ryu Koshi Jutsu and Koto Ryu Koppo Jutsu will be exposed and practiced, also Ken Jutsu (the theme of the year). It is amazing opportunity to get the best of Bujinkan techniques in Brazil. Miguel Greg Sensei has about 20 years of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu experience and 30 years of martial arts experience.
