One of the most important Bujinkan events of Brazil started with amazing 体術 (Taijutsu, body techniques) movements focusing on posture transition during the fight, touch sense related to these transitions, proprioceptive concepts, and the timing of sweep.
短刀術 (Tanto Jutsu, Knife fighting techniques) was also covered at first day. In the beginning, Hernández Shihan remembered us basic aspects of knife fighting techniques ensuring our foundation skills. This way, he developed explaining astounding uncommon knife techniques with one, two and three knives! At time, Fudo Myo Dojo instructors could practice Randori (乱取り, freestyle) fighting using those techniques and giving them life.
Finally, the first day ended with several explanations of budo taijutsu, honor, instructor’s understanding of presented techniques, and 五段審査 (Bujinkan Go Dan exam). Miguel Greg Shidoshi shared us his feelings about his Go Dan Test!
Many people from several states of Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, and Rio Grande do Sul) and other countries (England, Argentina, and Chile) attended this event. We could meet friends from afar, discuss about the martial way, and discover new martial friends. Beside that, we experienced an amazing energy of integration and foundation in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. All of us, looking for the same point: the real path of the warrior!
First at all, we would like to thank to all of attendees. Without you, it is impossible to experience this amazing energy! Together we can go far, remember this!
Amazing day! See you next event!
